Play all day at Hellerick's Family Farm area with numerous outdoor activities designed for all ages. Push yourself to new heights while testing your climbing skills as you work your way through 3 Saferoller® High Ropes Courses with 21 elements /bridges suspended from 55 ft. tall poles, 9 Zip Lines and a heart pounding Headrush Tech Quick Jump for ages 7 and up.
Hellerick's Family Farm is located 35 minutes north of Philadelphia. Most of the local terrain is steep and rocky, but nevertheless there are highly fertile farmlands. Plumstead was formed after 1700 by the English Quakers and many of the still existing farms have been owned by the same families for generations.
Opened in June 2017 this amazing place is ideal for families to experience the great outdoors. There are 4 different Courses at various heights and levels of difficulty to choose from that await you at the farm. "When we were researching the best passive belays system to use on the park, Kanopeo's Saferoller® system was by the best choice because of the ease of use for the participants and the safety concerns" notes Paul Hellerick, Owner of the farm.
Built by the Adventure Network, Guest’s access the 4 different Course levels by climbing a spiral stair case in the Central Tower of the Park. The higher you climb the more difficult the Trail and its Adventure Elements become! Each Course consists of 7 Adventure Elements, designed to be more challenging every time you reach higher level. There are 30 ft. Zip Lines at the beginning and middle of every individual one. At the end of a Course the participants get to ride an 80 ft. Zip Line back to the Central Tower.
"I believe the Saferoller® system gives us a definite advantage versus all the competitors in the area and gives the parents of participants confidence that their children will be safe while on the park" says the farm owner.
Since this was a new concept in this area they needed to have a long and thorough discussion with the local municipality to receive approval. Additionally, learning the technical specifications of the equipment and how to manage a new course is no easy task. In the end it took them 4 months to realise the $250K project. 3500 Guests already enjoyed lots of safe family fun at Hellerick's Family Farm in 2017 alone. Customers love the system because they do not have to detach themselves around poles/obstacles and this leaves the parents stress free and with no worries about the safety of their kids.
In 2018, Paul Hellerick expects to have 12.000-14.000 visitors. "In most of the other parks in the area, participants have to unclip and reclip their safety devices to maneuver around poles/obstacles. This takes skill, time and effort especially for younger participants. The Saferoller® system eliminates this problem which in turn allows the participants to go faster around the park and feel extremely safe while doing so".
We advise you to plan on spending an entire day at the Hellerick's Family Farm, because you won't want to miss any of the other great activities.
